Yesterday I was a bit taken back to realize that I was looking to a person, not God to provide for my needs! I became aware of my misguided focus when the person I counted on could not supply my need. It was Gods' whisper of correction that turned me to my true source.
When I expect a certain payment or wait impatiently for a debt to be paid, my attitude reveals where I look for my source of provision. Anger, frustration, worry or fear is my compass telling me I am looking in the wrong direction. On the other hand if I live in peace and continue to obey, I can trust that God is always faithful. He will supply all my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus! (my way of saying Phil.4:19). I must look to my Heavenly Father for all my needs.
Heavenly Father, You already know what I need. You clothe the birds and the flowers! I believe You will do no less for me, Your child, and in whom Your Spirit dwells. When I turn away and seek other sources, please open my eyes and turn me back to You! I choose to look to You for all my needs. How can I ever doubt Your faithfulness when You so often supply more than enough and even most of my desires! You are good and I humbly bow to You as my provider!
Questions, answers, thoughts, musings. Words created to communicate Gods' truth to families in a creative way. My mission in writing is to strengthen, support, encourage, and celebrate relationships.

Vision of Provision
Can you see all the robins in this picture? This is just a small part of the flock of robins that descended upon our back yard last Friday at twilight.
I had gone out to ask Patrick something and before I opened the back door I saw all the birds scattered over the yard.
I quietly slipped out the door to get a better look. Patrick and I whispered to one another what an amazing sight this was!
We estimate that there were about 75 or more birds enjoying some kind of feast in our presence. The sweet rustling of leaves as they bobbed their heads to find seed or small insects became mood music for our added enjoyment.
We watched for a long time and later I was pleased to recall the scripture in Matthew 6:26, "Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them." (ESV)
I sensed that God, Himself, invited the birds to our back yard. It was as if He called to them saying, "Look! Here is a feast I am providing for you! Come, eat and enjoy!" As He provided for those beautiful creatures, He offered a vision to us of his abundant and timely provision. Are we listening to His call? Are we accepting His invitation? Are we going where He says to go?
Father, you have said that I am not to be anxious about my life because You take care of the birds and the flowers and I am more valuable then they. You showed me this vision of provision for a reason. You provide for me in all ways. You will always be enough for me! Thank You for the vision! May I never forget!

I Love God!
I have been wrestling with God lately. It is not always a pleasant experience but always results in blessing.
I know one thing about God. He always gives me everything I need to understand and to "Come out on top," so to speak. Today was no exception.
As I wrestled with God today over issues in my life, He brought help by way of Beth Moore. She does a teaching every Wednesday on James Robinsons' show. Today she was beginning a series about wrestling with God. I was surprised but then laughed with joy over His loving preparation for my need! I am committed , like Jacob, to not let God go till He blesses me! (Even if it means my stubborn will breaks.)
Lord, bless me as I have never before known blessing! Your love and provision for me prove that You will win, but in Your victory I , too, will reap great rewards! Thank You! I love You I rejoice in You! you are my delight and Enough!
